What is VWAP and why intraday traders use it
VWAP is the average price of a stock for the day, weighted by volume. It shows where most of the buying and selling actually happened.
When price stays above VWAP, buyers are in control for the day. When it stays below, sellers are. Many intraday setups only take BUY trades above VWAP and SELL trades below it.
VWAP is not a signal by itself. Use it with volume and the trend of the broader market, and always place a stop loss.
